Introducing Notes in the Student Details

Introducing Notes in the Student Details

We’re excited to introduce Notes, a powerful new feature in the Student Details Drawer that allows instructors to add, manage, and share notes about learners.

Whether for tracking progress, sharing insights with team members, or keeping personal reminders, Notes provides a streamlined way to document key student information.

How Notes Work

With the new Notes functionality, instructors can now:

  • Add Custom Notes: Keep track of important details about students, whether related to overall progress or specific course performance.
  • Organizational vs. Course-Specific Notes: Add organization-wide notes visible across all courses or course-specific notes relevant only to a particular course.
  • Public or Private Notes: Choose whether a note is public (visible to other instructors and team members) or private (only visible to the note creator).
  • Dedicated Tabs for Easy Access: Instructors can quickly switch between "My Notes", listing their own personal notes, and "Team Notes", which displays notes added by other team members.

Why This Matters

The Notes feature enhances collaboration and efficiency by ensuring instructors and teaching assistants have a shared space for documenting student progress, concerns, or achievements. This eliminates scattered information and helps teams provide more personalized support to learners.

Get Started

To use Notes, open the Student Details Drawer from the Learners List, Course Members, or Course Progress Page, and navigate to the Notes tab. From there, you can add, edit, and manage notes effortlessly.
